GAME DAY RULES AND PROCEDURES

Cape Fear Ghost Crabs Game Day Guide

We do not accept cash at the ticket office or merch stand.  Concessions currently allows cash purchases but prefers cashless pay options.

Ticket pricing is the same at the gate as it online and all fees and taxes apply.  

We want every fan to have a fun, safe, and comfortable experience at Ghost Crabs games. Please review the information below before heading to the ballpark.

Clear Bag Policy

For safety and faster entry, guests are required to bring only approved bags.

Permitted bags may include:

  • Clear tote bags
  • Small clutch-style bags
  • One-gallon clear plastic bags
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags accompanied by a child

All bags are subject to search. The Ghost Crabs reserve the right to deny entry to any bag or item deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

Prohibited Items

For the safety of all fans, prohibited items may include:

  • Outside food and drinks including alcohol
  • Noise makers of any kind including - horns, cow bells, loud cups etc..  Bring your voices and hands to cheer on your team!
  • Illegal drugs
  • Tobacco products or smoking devices
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Large bags or coolers
  • Skateboards, hoverboards, or similar transportation items
  • Video recording equipment
  • Any item deemed unsafe by event staff

Guests may be asked to return prohibited items to their vehicle. Unattended bags or items outside the stadium may be removed or disposed of.

ADA Accommodations

ADA-accessible parking, seating, restrooms, sidewalks, and ramps are available for guests who need assistance. Guests with special needs are encouraged to contact our staff before game day so we can help make arrangements for your visit.

On game day, please speak with the nearest Ghost Crabs staff member for assistance.

Parking

ADA parking is available near the main entrance on Riegel Road in Lots M and L.

General parking is available in designated game day lots. Please follow all posted signs and staff instructions. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, so please lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables visible.

Gates

Gates open one hour before first pitch.

Fans may enter through the main entrance or the right field gate, when available.

Tickets

All guests must have a valid ticket for admission. Tickets may be purchased online in advance or on your phone when you arrive. We will NOT be selling tickets on site or at the gate. Ticket pricing is the same at the gate as it online and all fees and taxes apply.  

Seating

Reserved seating is for guests with tickets assigned to those sections. General admission areas are available for guests with GA tickets.

ADA seating is available for guests who need accessible accommodations and one companion. If you need ADA seating and did not purchase an ADA ticket, please visit the ticket office or speak with a staff member.

Alcohol Policy

Beer and wine may be available for purchase at approved locations inside the ballpark. Guests must be 21 or older and may be required to show valid ID.

Alcohol may not be brought into the stadium or taken out of the stadium once purchased. Alcohol sales may end before the conclusion of the game.

Fans who violate alcohol policies may be removed from the stadium.

Tobacco Policy

Smoking, vaping, and tobacco products are not permitted inside the stadium.

Concessions

Food, drinks, and select ballpark favorites will be available at concession areas. Additional food trucks or specialty vendors may be available for select games.

Major credit cards are accepted at most points of sale.

Restrooms

Men’s and women’s restrooms are available inside the ballpark. ADA-accessible restrooms are available.

Baby changing stations are available in designated restrooms.

Animals

Animals are not permitted inside the stadium, except for trained service animals.

Emotional support animals are not considered service animals under ADA guidelines.

Fan Conduct

Ghost Crabs games are family-friendly events. Fans are expected to treat other guests, players, coaches, umpires, and staff with respect.

The following behavior may result in removal from the stadium:

  • Foul, abusive, or threatening language
  • Harassment of players, coaches, officials, staff, or fans
  • Throwing objects
  • Entering restricted areas or the field of play
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket
  • Interfering with another guest’s enjoyment of the game
  • Appearing impaired or disorderly

Please notify the nearest staff member if you see behavior that needs attention.

Foul Balls

Foul balls may leave the field of play at any time. Fans should stay alert throughout the game. The Ghost Crabs and UNCW are not responsible for damage to vehicles or personal property caused by foul balls.

Weather Policy and cancellation / refund policy

In the event of severe weather, fans should follow instructions from the public address announcer, Ghost Crabs staff, and emergency personnel.

If an evacuation is necessary, guests may be directed to leave the stadium and seek shelter in a hard-topped vehicle or another safe location.

Play will resume only when conditions are deemed safe.

If a Cape Fear Ghost Crabs game at Brooks Field at UNCW is rained out or canceled before it becomes an official game — five innings completed, or 4.5 innings if the Ghost Crabs are leading — your ticket may be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular-season home game during the same season, based on availability.

The Ghost Crabs do not issue cash refunds for weather-related postponements or cancellations. Please contact us to redeem it for a future game.

Emergencies and First Aid

For first aid or medical assistance, contact the nearest Ghost Crabs staff member immediately.

In case of emergency, call 911.

If you see something suspicious or unsafe, please say something to a staff member.

Lost and Found

Lost or found items should be reported to the nearest staff member. Items not claimed during the game may be held for pickup after the event.

Lost Child or Guest

If a child or guest becomes separated from your group, please notify the nearest Ghost Crabs staff member immediately.

Merchandise

Ghost Crabs merchandise may be available inside the stadium during games. Credit cards will be accepted at the sales location.

Cameras

Handheld still cameras are permitted for personal use only. Professional cameras, long lenses, tripods, and video recording equipment may be restricted unless approved in advance.

Re-Entry

Re-entry is not permitted unless otherwise announced for special events, tournaments, or doubleheaders.

Personal Chairs

Personal chairs may be permitted only in designated areas. Guests using chairs in non-approved areas may be asked to move them.

Signs and Banners

Signs and banners are permitted as long as they do not block views, interfere with other guests, contain advertising, or include language/images deemed inappropriate by stadium staff.

Tailgating

Tailgating is permitted only in approved areas and must follow all parking and stadium policies. Guests may not reserve additional parking spaces with tents, chairs, grills, or other items.
